Chicken hearts & livers with petimezi
Let's start! Put the olive oil in a frying pan and heat on high heat. Slice the onions thinly in layers and add it to the pan. Keep stirring and frying until the onions are brown in color. Remove from the pan and place it in a plate. Set aside until you use it later.
In the same pan with the same olive oil add the hearts and fry on high heat. Add the 1/2 tsp salt and the 1/4 tsp pepper and mix well. Keep frying until all the hearts are brown in color. Once they are done remove them from the frying pan and place them on a plate. Set aside for further use later.
Let's continue with the livers. Add the livers in the same frying pan with the same oil. Keep frying them on high heat and add 1/4 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp pepper and 1/2 tsp chilli flakes. Stir and fry until they are brown to black color. Once they are fully cooked, add the hearts and stir well on high heat. Don't turn the heat down. Add the lemon juice and cook for 2 minutes. Lastly, add the petimezi and mix well. Cook for half a minute more. Remove from the heat and place on a deep plate. Spread the onions on top and serve while it is warm. Enjoy!
