Shrimp saganaki

Let's start! Put the olive oil in a pan or skillet on medium heat. Add the onion and stir until the onion is soft and slightly golden. Add the chilly pepper and crushed garlic and stir little more. Add the tomato sauce and stir for one more minute. Turn the heat to high and add the water, the salt and pepper and the star anise and bring to a boil. Once the sauce starts boiling, reduce the heat to low, put a lid on and simmer for 8-10 minutes. After that the sauce should be somewhat thicker. Remove the lid and add the shrimps with the head. Don't remove the head as this is what gives the taste to the dish. Stir slightly, so you don't break the shrimps apart and simmer for 3 more minutes. Remove from the heat and add the parsley and stir once more. If you want you can also add the feta cheese. Serve as is on the skillet or in a deep dish with toasted bread to dip in!
